Abu Dhabi may not be as popular travel destination as neighbouring Dubai is, but the emirate has its own share of tourist attractions to impress its visitors. Over the years, Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) has been making notable progress in promoting tourism with new projects coming up almost every year. It's fast catching up with Dubai as a famous tourist destination in UAE, attracting about 2 million visitors every year. Among popular attractions here include the archaeological sites, museums and galleries, theme parks, gardens, and scenic islands.

The most famous tourist sites in Abu Dhabi are Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, The Corniche, Al Hosn Palace (White Fort), Cultural Foundation, Women's Craft Center, Al Ain National Museum, Al Ain Wildlife Park and the Ferrari World, the first ferrari theme park on the scenic Yas Island .

The Corniche

The Corniche is a 6 km long strech of beach with a wide range of leisure and recreational facilities for visitors. It's a favourite spot for families and kids for arranging picinics and barbeques. The Corniche is also popular for organizing a number of musical events every year, and is a place of attraction during the National Day Celebrations. There are decent facilities for beach and water sports here.

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

Considered as the most beautiful mosque in whole of United Arab Emirates, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is open to visitors of all faiths for sighseeing and educational purposes. It's one of the biggest mosques in the world with 82 domes and 1000 columns made of 28 different types of marbles imported from coutries as far as Italy, China and India. It's one of the most visited tourist places in Abu Dhabi.
